This course is suitable for people who are responsible for the planning, execution and management of social media campaigns, social media specialists, enthusiasts, executives or anyone who would like to enhance their digital marketing knowledge base in this area.

Pearson Vue exam

All CHART Digital Institute digital courses include a Pearson Vue exam to the value of $200. The exam must be taken within 24 weeks from your training program end date.

We recommend that you take your exam within 3-6 weeks from the completion of the program, as this provides you with an opportunity to retake the exam (if necessary) by week 24. Please be aware that it is not possible to extend the exam eligibility time beyond 24 weeks unless there are serious extenuating circumstances (illness, bereavement etc.). Therefore please book your exam as recommended above to ensure availability of your preferred test centre and to allow plenty of time for any potential repeat exams. If you fail an exam, you can repeat it twice. All repeat exams must be taken within the original exam eligibility period of 24 weeks. We don’t only train/educate you, we make it happen!

The Social Research module will introduce you to the key social media concepts and equip you with the research tools and techniques needed to discover everything you need to know about your audience, competitors, cultural and industry trends.
The Content Creation module equips you with the knowledge and skills to resource a content management function, to target your audience, select your platform and make use of social listening and competitor analysis.

The Facebook module provides you with a comprehensive understanding of how Facebook works as a platform for community building, content marketing and brand promotion.
This module equips you with the knowledge of how Twitter operates and the value it represents for businesses as a marketing and promotion platform.
The LinkedIn module gives you a comprehensive understanding of the benefits of using LinkedIn for marketing purposes. You will learn LinkedIn-specific features which will help you to facilitate campaign objectives.
Going beyond basic features and vanity metrics, you will learn how to navigate app-based platforms; Instagram and Snapchat, and discover the features that can be leveraged to deliver real measurable results in unique, creative and interactive ways.
The Social Video module will introduce you to the concept of social video marketing. Focusing on YouTube, you will learn how to leverage the creative life cycle for audience development and advertising in order to build sustainable communities for lead generation.
The Marketing Automation module aims to empower digital marketers to automate their marketing processes in the areas of lead management, lead generation, lead nurturing, sales enablement, social media marketing automation and customer evangelism.

The only prerequisite is that you have in an interest in a social media marketing career. This specialist diploma is suitable for any level of skills or experience and is designed to prepare you to engage specifically with social media marketing within an overall digital marketing domain.

The Specialist Diploma in Social Media Marketing is assessed by one three hour exam; these are administered by our computer-based testing partner, Pearson Vue, via its global network of test centers. Candidates need to achieve a minimum of 60% to pass the exam. Your examination fee is included in the course price but subsequent re-sits due to failed attempts will incur a fee of approximately €60 or local currency equivalent payable directly to Pearson Vue when you book your repeat attempt.

Certification

The assessment is based on a formal computer-based examination that will measure individuals’ knowledge and digital marketing proficiency following completion of the course.

The duration of the exam is 180 minutes.

A range of different question formats are used including Text based Multiple Choice; Image based Multiple Choice, Matching and Hot Spot questions. Our computer-based examinations are delivered through the Pearson VUE test centre network which comprises over 5,200 centres in 180 countries.

The use of Pearson VUE to deliver our exams increases the value of the international certification offered by the Digital Marketing Institute and provides students with a quality, consistent examination experience, no matter where they are in the world.
